Taylor wins at Anderson

Taylor raced this past weekend at the famous Anderson Speedway. A high-banked, 1/4 mile asphault track, in Anderson, Indiana. This was only his second time at the track, and his first in a Legend's car. After 2 practice sessions, they qualified the field, and Taylor missed fast time by 1/1000 of a second. After qualifications they announced that they would start the field straight up, with no heats. Taylor asked his crew chief to slightly free the car up, because he knew the car was close. Starting on the outside front row, Taylor took the lead on the first lap. The car was handling perfect, and could pull out to a 6-8 car length, and keep it there. With only 1 caution and 25 laps, it was a quick feature race. Taylor picked up his second victory at Anderson Speedway. His first was in a mini-cup in 07. Needless to say, this is one of his favorite tracks, and he's looking forward to returning next year in the spring.

Racing resumed at the Columbus Motor Speedway last night, May 9th. It was Taylor's first time at the Columbus Speedway. There were 17 cars. He started 6th in an 8 lap, 9 car heat, and finished 4th. The feature was 25 laps, Taylor started in the 4th position. He had moved to third , when a caution came out on lap 20. On the re-start, the 1st and 2nd place cars got together on the back-stretch and spun one another out, with Taylor just missing them. Taylor and Kyle Baugh pulled away from the rest of the field and had a serious battle for the lead. Taylor won by about 3 feet at the line. It was a very exciting finish. Taylor will be racing next weekend at Kentucky. A make-up race has been added to the schedule for Sunday May 17th, and possibly Saturday, May 16th at Kentucky Speedway.
